CTS CONSISTS OF 3 PROJECTS: PROJECT 1 { DIY MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS }, PROJECT 2 { RE-BRANDING A DAILY OBJECT } AND FINAL PROJECT { IDEA JOURNAL }. ALL THESE 3 PROJECTS PLUS THIS E-PORTFOLIO WILL BE TAKEN TO ACCOUNT FOR THE FINAL GRADE. }
PROJECT 1:
DIY MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS
{ In this group project, we were asked to create a musical instrument through objects that we encounter in our daily life and perform these instruments in a certain theme that the lecturers have given to us. For my group, we were given King of Pop to perform. My group consisted of leader Jia Xin, Cherilyn, Sara, Jean, Omar, Seraj, Farah, Fareez and myself. For my instruments I created a shaker because I hear it quite often I hear in Micheal Jackson's Songs. For our group performance, we mashed-up 4 famous songs which are Heal the World, We are the World, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal and Beat It. }

{ After this project, I will never hear Micheal Jackson's Music the same ever again. I always thought that MJ's music was boring but after this assignment, after singing to his lyrics, I see the true meaning of his songs. Besides that, I also learnt through this assignment the amount of instruments needed to make one song is amazing. There are so many possibilities to choose from. Finally, in this project, I learnt how to cope with problems that came towards us such as people in the group being tone deaf. We learnt together that teamwork would make us more successful than standing alone. }

RE-BRANDING A DAILY OBJECT

{ In this group project, we were asked to rebrand an object of our daily life into a packaging that is more unique and creative than usual. For my group, we got clothes pegs as our daily item. My group consisted of Sara, Jean, Shreya, Hassan and myself. For my individual packaging, thought of a washing machine however, for the group component, we merged the ideas of Sara's and Jean's to create a dinosaur called Peg-O-Saurus. In the group component, we needed to create 4-5 products, a poster, and ad video and promote our products through a booth and verbal presentation. }

{ In this project, I learnt that we should accept ideas and opinions of others as they said "two is better than one". With more ideas we managed to create a product that was fun to make at the same time interesting to promote. Team collabaration is important in this assignment as we managed to pull it off quite well I would say. Finally, I feel that we really thought about the practicality of our product at the same time the uniqueness and quirkyness of our product. I feel that thinking skills has been put to another level. }
PROJECT 3:
IDEA JOURNAL (IDJ)
{ Idea Journal is about imagination, ideas and process. Students are to use their creative thinking to do their idea journal for a given topic, they are required to produce the journal on suitable A4 size paper and upload it to their celebrity Facebook page. For this idea journal, we have to imagine ourselves as a celebrity. I imagined myself as a famous fashion designer.
There are three IDJs in total and we have to produce the idea journal through mind maps, sketches, notes and so on based on the following topics.

{ In this project, I learnt that we should never be ashamed of our creativity and we should awlays let it take flight. By making myself a fashion designer I have now gained certain knowledge of the fashion world as well. This project was a good breather from architecture as there was no limits, no wrongs. I have now also learnt the art of mind maps and how they link with one piece of information to the other. The colours attract my sight sense and now I see how it plays a vital role in everyday life. }
