{ INTRO: INTRODUCTION TO THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IS A CLASS BASED ON TEACHING US THE DIFFERENT ROLES AND JOBS THAT COME TO PLAY DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE. THIS CLASS IS TUTORED BY LECTURER MS. ALL THESE 3 PROJECTS PLUS THIS E-PORTFOLIO WILL BE TAKEN TO ACCOUNT FOR THE FINAL GRADE. { In this project, I learnt the different phases a landscape architect has to go through before completing the project. I also now understand in depth the roles and responsibilties of a landscape architect and what it's field of specialilty is. Finally, I also now understand what needs to be done to accomplish the project as well as who the landscape architect needs to work with. }

{ In this project, we were supposed to understand and describe occupations that work in the built environment, for example, architects, interior designers and others. This project was an intergration between modules English 1, Intro to Construction Industry and Intro to Drawing. My group was made out of Sara, Omar, Seraj, Shreya, Yang, Sue Wen and myself. }
PROJECT 1A: PRESENTATION
{ In our second group project, our task at hand was to interview a profession other than the profession we choose the last time. Therefore, we could not interview a landscape architect, so we interviewed Mr. Wee Hii Min (Sara's Dad). Mr. Wee was kind enough to let us interview for this project during his family trip in KL. My group mates for this project are Sara, Shreya, Areeb, Shamil and myself. After the interview, we're supposed to create a magazine based on the information collected during the interview. }

{ While working for this project, it goes some insight about the tasks and action an architect has to take during the course of his/ her work life. We are grateful to get the time to interview Mr.Wee as he not only told his present experiences but also his past such as working as a junior architect in Geelong. As an architect, we learnt that they need to be good at communicating and problem solving. }
PROJECT 2:
PROPOSAL
{ For our final ICI Project, in a group of 3 we had to choose a 70m X 50m located in Malaysia. In my group (Sara, Shreya and I) we had to analyse the site exactly like what we had to do in Project 2A for Constructed Landscape. From there, individually, we are supposed to come up with a proposal each on what to build there (for example commericial, residential, business, etc.). In my proposal I taught of a food court. }

{ In this project, I learnt the importance of effects and imapcts of people when building up a proposal. Many proposals neglect the people when it should be for the people. I also learnt tha research can take you a long way and the best to communicate proposals are through diagrams and visuals. I also learnt community living is important as each person helps one another in most times. Convinience is akey factor in drawing a proposal for the client. }
